My little bro celebrated his birthday the other day at Il Fiore Ristorante in Collingswood, NJ. The restaurant was REALLY busy, so I was very glad I made reservations. From the moment we came in, to the very end, interactions with all of the staff were great. Everyone was super friendly and attentive.

They have many specials of the day in addition to their menu items. I was totally jonesing for some gnocchi, so my entree was a no brainer.

The appetizers to start were the calamari and funghi gratinati, a three mushroom (porcini, shiitake, and portobella) bake with shrimp, bread crumbs, garlic, and olive oil.
gnocchi di ricotta
The entree I ordered was the gnocchi di ricotta. The gnocchi was good and the sauce was ridiculously tasty. Around the table the following was ordered: fettucini al salmone, risotto pescatora, spaghetti san luca. I got to try some of the fettucini and that was fantastic. The vodka sauce was made from grey goose and had salmon pieces throughout.

Dessert consisted of a tiramisu and cannoli…both very good.

It was a pretty stellar meal. Great Italian food with good service and doesn’t break the bank. For sure I’ll be returning.
