Spring is here and so is the start of the many local farm markets! The Collingswood Farm Market kicked off their season last Saturday. In my excitement, I showed up for the ribbon cutting since I never got around to going at all last year.
There were a ton of vendors set up, including The Treehouse Coffee Shop. I stop by here every day and without these guys, I don’t know how I’d be able to make it through the first half of the work day.
Springdale Farms from Cherry Hill had a table set up. They were selling their pretty fantastic apple cider doughnuts. If you come to the market, you’ve gotta try out one of them.
An Oaklyn woman also sets up a table for her Pooch Patisserie, a dog and cat bakery! Definitely gunna have to get some stuff for my dog next time.
Of course, a farm market would not be complete without fresh, local produce. They have tons of things from Jersey tomatoes to fresh herbs.
I’m gunna try to make a habit of going every week. Hopefully I can do it. There are also a bunch of local restaurants with tables too, such as The Tortilla Press and IndeBlue. Unfortunately, I was only there early for about an hour or two, so a lot of the restaurants didn’t have their tables set up for lunch yet. I’m sure more people are going to be joining as the season goes on! Looking forward to it!
