philly foodspotting pho eatup – february 2012

Last night we spent a cold evening warming up with hearty bowls of pho from Pho Ha in South Philly. Pho Ha offers serveral different meat options for their rice noodle soup. I opted for #15, the pho with steak, flank, tendon, tripe, and fatty flank. The bowls of pho were huge, even for a small (pictured above). It was damn good! They had a generous serving of noodles and beef thrown into a flavorful broth. Check out some other photos from the eatup:

Spot a bowl of pho at Pho Ha and get the Pho Eatup badge on the guide. Keep up with Philly Foodspotting on Facebook and Twitter.

Have you been to Pho Ha? What’s your favorite place in Philly to get pho?

A friend of ours always recommended Nam Phoung. He would carry around their business card and hand it out like he was marketing the place. Still haven’t made it there. Those spring rolls look great.

That pho looks pretty damn good. I like Pho Saigon in the shopping center on the corners of Columbus and Washington Ave. It’s big, it’s clean, and the portions are huge. The broth in the beef pho is really good, can’t speak for the chicken varieties. They have a large number of pho varieties, but as far as their other food, the menu seems a little limited. No worries, though, the pho is worth getting every time.
