madison square garden: daily burger

Madison Square Garden has been undergoing major renovations within the past two years. It’s still a work in progress but a lot has changed. One of the changes includes several new dining options. In addition to Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s (Jean Georges, ABC Kitchen) Simply Chicken and Andrew Carmellini’s (Locanda Verde) Sausage Boss, is Drew Nieporent’s (Nobu) Daily Burgers.

The Daily Burger is located on the 200 level concourse. The burgers are served on English muffins with optional American cheese and bacon-onion jam. The regular Daily Burger will run at $8.65 while the Daily Cheese Burger with the jam will cost you $9.95.

I was pretty excited to try these since most stadium burgers aren’t anything this ambitious. Also, my friend who came with me to the game said they were awesome. My expectations were high, but they were quickly exceeded. I was in shock when I noticed that the burger was cooked to a perfect medium-rare! They never asked me how I wanted it cooked, as the “assembly line” was cooking these burgers one after the other; we received our burgers within a minute or two after ordering. More importantly, this was one delicious burger.

The Daily Burger also has great non-typical stadium beers on tap. They have local favorites Brooklyn Lager, Sixpoint Sweet Action, and Sixpoint Bengali Tiger on tap!

The burger may have cost $9.95, but for a tasty stadium burger with perfect execution, I’ll pay that $9.95 every time I come up here.

Let’s go Rangers!

How many calories in a daily burger at Madison square garden?

I guess these fine young cannibals like anything raw because that’s how these burgers are cooked, or should I say, not cooked. These burgers would be great if they were actually COOKED. I took 2 bites and threw it in the garbage.
